Financial and Legal Director
Arend has a long-standing track record in the leisure marine industry. He started as an independent yacht broker in 1978, with “de Prins van Oranje van 1870” situated in Heeg, in the province of Friesland, where the brokerage imported Scandinavian and British sailing yachts and built traditional custom yachts. He also expanded the company and developed Prins Yacht Club, a new marina in Makkum at the IJsselmeer.
Arend takes care of our overall company administration, accounting procedures and communication with the company’s firm of auditors. He also deals with the French inquiries and sales, Monitoring of contracts, trouble shooting in the case of specific queries as well as lending support and giving advice to the Whites Yachts team is also a key part of Arend’s contribution to the business.
Managing and Marketing Director
Jacqueline, Frisian born, was raised in a family entrepreneurs’ environment and educated in Business Administration and International Secretary / Office Marketing Management. She worked together with her husband Arend in the brokerage company since 1988, gaining a lot of practical experience along the way and after divesting of the marine business in the Netherlands, they jointly purchased Whites International Yachts in 2006.
Jacqueline joins the office team and is deployed as project manager. As vessel documentation expert she advises in the conveyance procedures; International flag registration, title deeds, CE, VAT status, customs files etc, to provide legal transfer of ownership. Further she initiates marketing ideas and controls the IT systems.
Dirk-Jan After being a Sales Manager within the sports industry, he followed his passion and started working with Arend’s brother at the Prins van Oranje brokerage in 1999, as a yacht broker. Together they developed the stylish and luxury motor yacht brand Rapsody Yachts. Later he became Sales and Marketing Director for the Dehler Group which brought him to Spain. Dirk-Jan joined Whites Yachts in 2009. Along the way he also became share holder of the company.
Dirk-Jan is responsible for the sales and the acquisition of new listings. He will lead you through the complete buying/sales process; from viewings to survey to coordinating negotiations between buyer and seller. Networking with colleagues, customers and suppliers within the yachting industry is also part of the Sales Director’s daily life.
Hannelore, (you may call her Hanne) has worked a long time in Holland and in Belgium for several leading, nautical related sport and leisure brands. Her job experience varies from buying to sales and from marketing to export management. In 2008 she moved to Spain together with Dirk-Jan.
Hannelore takes care of the yacht listings, branding and promotion, monitors the market, is involved in the acquisition of new listings and deals with multilingual description texts in various languages. Furthermore, she maintains the online marketing via our Whites International Yachts website, numerous other marine related portals and updates all Social Media platforms.
