  37´ TERN one of then class boats built by John Hildtich in 1897 at Carrick Fergus for a cost of GBP240. All this class were named after sea birds. Only three remain to this day and two have passed through a refit at same yard as TERN has been restorated “The Ocean Yacht Company”. Tern brought to the yard in 1994, originally to have her counter repaired – returned in 1996 for total restoration back to original design work and was completed to be ICYA competitive for 2000. Tern consumed 4 trees of Larch, together with hand chosen Afromosia White Oak and Teak. Owner race prepared TERN for the 2000 & 2001 Isle of Wight Rally. The class raced in Belfast Lought and at sea until 1912 when they all converted to yawl for cruising. TERN Arrived in Cornish waters about 1947 and used for day trips. The formal owner bought her in 1964 and much restoration work has been done, she is owned by George Ellison and maintained by Falmouth Boat Construction of Flushing.   43´ The Montevideo 43 center cockpit with teak decks was designed by Angelo Lavranos and built by the John Robertson Yachts in South Africa. It seems to be that about 50 Mondevideos were build until 1994. After that time the same hull design was continued in the Montecarlo 43. This one from 1988 and powered by a new 55HP Yanmar is a well equipped yacht designed for serious blue water cruising. Sleeps 6 in 2 cabins. Her impressive inventory includes bow thruster, generator, battery charger, Autohelm 7000, radar, GPS, SSB, Navtex etc. All sails in good condition incl. new furling genoa. Full safety equipment incl. liferaft, EPIRB etc. She has contemporary lines with pleasing proportions and her 15 tons displacement and balanced rig makes her easy to handle.
