Description
|
Built by Abeking & Rasmussen in Germany in 1955 this
long keeled 20m traditional yawl has a steel hull and
teak superstructure and decks with varnished spruce
spars. She has a full set of sails including spinnaker,
mizzen staysail and storm sails. She is a fast and
stable blue water vessel that cruises under sail at 8
knots with a maximum speed of 10 to 11 knots. She has
taken part successfully in many international ocean
regattas and is now lying in Mallorca after many years
cruising in the Med. The accommodation comprises of a
master cabin with a double and a single berth plus a
triple berth guest cabin (can easily be changed to the
original 4 berth cabin), as well as a forward double
crew cabin. She has two heads compartments, one with a
shower. The large saloon has a lovely ambience with a
curved settee to port and a gimballed mahogany table.
The immaculate engine room houses a Mercedes OM352 105
hp engine and a 2.5 kva generator. She is well equipped
with autopilot, chart plotter, radar, liferaft, outboard
& dinghy etc. "Germania V" is a real beauty - a classic
yacht that has always been well maintained. Her loving
owners, who reside onboard, have lavished her with the
care and attention she deserves. Must be seen to be
appreciated.
